Nichols Ranch and Orchards is a family farm in La Luz that has operated in Otero County since 1882. Its 2026 Pumpkin Patch weekend is confirmed for October 24-25 and includes food trucks and Halloween-themed vendors; a separate Apple Festival weekend is confirmed for October 3-4, 2026, with apple picking, cider, and craft vendors. A separately ticketed nighttime Haunted Orchard trail also runs on other October weekends.
Rio Grande Community Farm is a nonprofit working farm in Albuquerque's North Valley that hosts an annual Maize Maze celebration with live music, food and drink vendors, and games.
