Mangamaire Sunflower Field is a working-farm sunflower field near Pahiatua in the Tararua district, open to the public on scheduled open days during the summer season. The farm also offers premium on-site picnics, private field hire for photography, and guided farm walks. It is promoted mainly through Facebook and regional tourism listings.
Hiwinui Sunflower Field is a 4.5-acre paddock of over 200,000 sunflowers on the Hiwinui Country Estate property outside Palmerston North. The field opens for a limited window each summer and also hosts weddings and private events among the blooms.
