Crude Food's sunflower field is an 8-hectare Puketapu property near Napier that was buried in silt during Cyclone Gabrielle and has since been replanted with roughly 100,000 sunflowers by the McCarthy family. Visitors can walk the field and pick sunflowers for a small donation, with proceeds supporting an on-site community garden for local families.

Se alle →BEL Group Sunflower Field is a free, two-hectare community sunflower planting on a dairy farm on Ashcott Road west of Waipukurau, Central Hawke's Bay. Visitors walk marked tracks through the crop and can pick a free bunch of sunflowers to take home; after the season the flowers are harvested as livestock feed.
Baxter's Sunflower Farm is a ten-acre sunflower field on Havelock Road in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay, offering a walking trail through the blooms plus cut sunflowers and sweet corn for sale. Visitors are welcome to picnic on site. It has run its open days in January in past seasons, announced mainly via social media.
