Ashburton Maize Maze is a family-run maize maze near Fairton on the Hanrahan property in Mid Canterbury, featuring an ear-tag scavenger hunt and word puzzle as part of entry. It has run for several consecutive seasons and has previously linked to a separate horror maze event later in the season. Location can move between paddocks on the family's land from year to year.
Tothill's Mazes in Hornby South, Christchurch, combines a permanent maze with a seasonal maize (corn) maze planted fresh each year.
