Sunshine Fields ist ein 6.5 acre großer Selbstpflück-Sonnenblumenhof in Karaka, im Süden von Auckland. Das Projekt wird aus Familienleidenschaft betrieben und gilt als eine der neueren Sonnenblumenattraktionen Aucklands. Während der Saison von Januar bis Februar finden wöchentlich hundefreundliche Öffnungstage statt; außerhalb dieses Zeitraums bleibt der Hof geschlossen. Die Saison 2026 war zum Zeitpunkt dieser Recherche bereits beendet, wobei der Betrieb bestätigte, dass er im Januar 2027 wieder öffnen wird.

Taupiri Sunflower Farm is a two-hectare pick-your-own sunflower field on Gordonton Road near Taupiri, about an hour south of Auckland. Visitors pay entry plus a per-stem charge and are provided secateurs to cut their own flowers. The farm was established as a memorial planting and operates seasonally in summer.

Kaipaki Sunflowers is a pick-your-own sunflower field on Kaipaki Road near Ōhaupō, run by local residents Tammy-Lee Grant and Jeff Keesom. Visitors walk tree-lined rows of sunflowers, buy cut stems, and enjoy coffee and ice cream on site. A dollar from every flower sold is donated to the Gumboot Friday mental health charity.

Albert Town, Wānaka, Otago

Die Hook's Sunflower Farm ist ein 1,5 hectare großes Sonnenblumenfeld hinter dem Hauptsee bei Hook Wānaka, einem Lachsangel- und Restaurantstandort in Albert Town in der Nähe von Wānaka. Crude Food's sunflower field is an 8-hectare Puketapu property near Napier that was buried in silt during Cyclone Gabrielle and has since been replanted with roughly 100,000 sunflowers by the McCarthy family. Visitors can walk the field and pick sunflowers for a small donation, with proceeds supporting an on-site community garden for local families.

Mangamaire (Pahiatua), Manawatū-Whanganui

Mangamaire Sunflower Field is a working-farm sunflower field near Pahiatua in the Tararua district, open to the public on scheduled open days during the summer season. The farm also offers premium on-site picnics, private field hire for photography, and guided farm walks. It is promoted mainly through Facebook and regional tourism listings.

Waipukurau, Hawke's Bay · Entry kostenlos

BEL Group Sunflower Field is a free, two-hectare community sunflower planting on a dairy farm on Ashcott Road west of Waipukurau, Central Hawke's Bay. Visitors walk marked tracks through the crop and can pick a free bunch of sunflowers to take home; after the season the flowers are harvested as livestock feed.

Havelock North, Hawke's Bay

Baxter's Sunflower Farm is a ten-acre sunflower field on Havelock Road in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay, offering a walking trail through the blooms plus cut sunflowers and sweet corn for sale. Visitors are welcome to picnic on site. It has run its open days in January in past seasons, announced mainly via social media.

Waverley Sunflower Farm is a newly launched one-hectare sunflower field on a fourth-generation family farm at Waverley in South Taranaki, run by Harry Train and Aneeka Beveridge. Visitors pay a cash entry fee and can pick their own sunflower stems; after the season the flowers are used to feed livestock.

Waimauku, Auckland

Franklin Farm in Waimauku, west Auckland, offers pick-your-own sunflower fields alongside a small petting farmyard with goats, mini cows, sheep and chickens. It also hires out the field privately for evening photography sessions and allows leashed dogs on Fridays. It is closed on Tuesdays.

Palmerston North, Manawatū-Whanganui

Hiwinui Sunflower Field is a 4.5-acre paddock of over 200,000 sunflowers on the Hiwinui Country Estate property outside Palmerston North. The field opens for a limited window each summer and also hosts weddings and private events among the blooms.

Whenuakite (Coromandel), Waikato

Tahi Toa Farm's Sunflower Fields sit on the Tairua-Whitianga Road in Whenuakite on the Coromandel Peninsula. Visitors stroll rows of sunflowers, pick their own stems to take home, and picnic in the surrounding countryside during the farm's short summer bloom window.

Tram Fields Corn Maze & Sunflowers is a North Canterbury farm attraction at Swannanoa combining a summer corn maze with a pick-your-own sunflower field, sold together on a family farm pass. Local press has described it as effectively Christchurch's only corn maze. It is run alongside the farm's Christmas tree operation.

Te Anau, Southland

The Farm Shed at Woodstone Farm is a new Te Anau agritourism attraction opening for the 2026-27 season with both maize and sunflower mazes, farm animals, sheep-shearing and dog-herding demonstrations, plus a cafe and farm shop.
