Laganvale Farm in Lambeg, just outside Lisburn and Belfast in the Lagan Valley Regional Park, combines indoor play areas with outdoor attractions including farm animal paddocks, an activity tunnel and a maize maze. The farm designs a new maze layout each year and runs the Linen Tearoom for breakfasts and lunches. The maize maze typically runs from August through October.
Mountpanther Farm Park, between Newcastle and Downpatrick in County Down, treats its Pumpkin Patch as the biggest event on its annual calendar, offering pick-your-own pumpkins with carving, a spooky trail with Halloween characters, animal feeding and go-karts. Visits run in timed 3-hour slots. The farm is a working petting-zoo and farm-park attraction open year-round.
Funny Farm Adventures near Castlewellan, County Down, grows what is described as the only maize maze of its kind in Northern Ireland, a six-acre field with maize reaching around 8 feet tall and a new theme each year. The site also has a pedal go-kart track, bouncy castle, mini assault course and other play attractions with some animals on site. It typically operates in July and August rather than the autumn Halloween season.
