Glenbernie Family Farms, in the Hawkesbury district about an hour northwest of Sydney, opens its sunflower fields to the public for pick-your-own visits, generally on weekends from January through March. Visitors pay an entry fee plus a per-stem charge to cut sunflowers to take home. The farm was historically used for vegetables, hay and cattle grazing.
