Sunflowers On Kents is a sunflower farm in the Scenic Rim region of Queensland that opens on selected days each season for visitors to walk the fields, cut five stems themselves, or buy a pre-cut bunch. Coffee and cold drinks are available under marquees, and leashed dogs are welcome. Opening days are announced via the farm's Instagram and Facebook pages.
Wamuran Pick Your Own Farm, north of Brisbane, is a family-run pumpkin patch offering pick-your-own pumpkins, a pumpkin-painting station and a small corn maze. Unusually for Australia, the operators run the patch around the Northern-Hemisphere Halloween date (mid-October to 31 October), which falls in the Australian spring. A family orchard on the Granite Belt near Stanthorpe, Queensland, operating since 1950, offering combined pick-your-own apples and sunflowers each February to April. Tickets (booked via Eventbrite) include orchard entry, a picking bag and a complimentary sunflower per visitor. Dogs and picnics are welcome in the designated picnic area.
Warraba Sunflowers is a small family farm near Toowoomba that opens its drone-planted, chemical-free sunflower fields to the public on select weekends once the crop blooms, generally in the Australian autumn/early-winter months of May-June.
