Sunshine Fields is a 6.5-acre pick-your-own sunflower farm in Karaka, south Auckland, run as a family passion project and promoted as one of Auckland's newer sunflower attractions. It runs weekly dog-friendly open days during its January-February season and is closed outside that window. The 2026 season had already ended by the time of this research, with the farm confirming it will reopen in January 2027.

Franklin Farm in Waimauku, west Auckland, offers pick-your-own sunflower fields alongside a small petting farmyard with goats, mini cows, sheep and chickens. It also hires out the field privately for evening photography sessions and allows leashed dogs on Fridays. It is closed on Tuesdays.
